This year saw Al-Burhan Group complete the delivery of 30 Ukrainian locomotives type T-114N to the Iraq Republic Railway (IRR), the delivery was completed and signed in accordance with the memorandum of understanding with the United Nations.

The delivery for the first batch of locomotives commenced during January 2003, But the war in March 2003 meant the delivery had to be postponed to a later date.

Mr. K. K. Burhan (Chairman of the group) announced in a meeting with the IRR directors, that after the war Al-Burhan Group will fulfil its promise and complete the delivery for the remaining Locomotives.

Now the Locomotives have been delivered IRR plan to put these Locomotives in operation within the next few Months.
