TechnopromExport has signed the final contract with the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity to rebuild The Hartha Thermal Power Plant This achievement comes during the visit of Iraqi Prime Minister H.E. Nuri Al-Maliki with high level of Iraqi government officials.
The contract was signed in presence of the Russian Energy Minister Sergey Ivanovich Shmatko to rebuild the Hartha TPP which is financed by the World bank.
Rehabilitation of units (2 and 3) of Hartha TPP which is located in Basra, southern Iraq, with a capacity of 200 MW each.
On Saturday April 11th, H.E. the Iraqi Prime Minister called in Moscow all top Russian companies to visit Iraq for talks with the Iraqi side, pointing out that many international companies now compete for contracts in Iraq.
He emphasized the desire of the Iraqi side to expand the presence of Russian companies in the Iraqi market, especially as it has great experience in cooperation with Iraq, pointing to the presence of Russian companies operating on the territory of Iraq especially in Youssifya Power station.
Al-Burhan Group has rendered its assistance to reach this stage of signing the Hartha contract in order to develop the Iraqi electricity sector in southern of Iraq.
TechnopromExport with assistance of Al-Burhan Group will send number of specialist engineers to Hartha site in order to make the necessary surveying and inspection.
The project period is 30 months and it will include electrical, mechanical and civil works that Al-Burhan Group assist TPE with their local Iraqi partners.
