ABG and TPE meet in Paris

A joint meeting was held in Paris on 19th of August 2009 between Technopromexport-(TPE) and Al-Burhan Group (ABG). TPE delegation was presented by the Chief Executive Mr. Alexander A. Lukin and his first advisor Mr. Melnikov; ABG was presented by - the first deputy of the General Director of Al-Burhan Group- Mr. Imad Burhan and International Sales Manager Mr. Kumait Al-Ali. It is the second meeting between the two parties since Mr. Lukin took over his new tasks in TPE.

The first deputy of the General Director of Al-Burhan Group highlighted ABG steps and their achievements to TPE for the duration of the official agreement between ABG and TPE. He addressed ABG efforts to effectively support TPE in Iraq also he demonstrated the daily hard-work which is performed by ABG to remove all the administrative obstacles and facilitate TPE's tasks in Iraq. Moreover, Mr. Imad illustrated ABG activities and services, and he talked about how to enhance the collaboration and coordination between ABG and TPE for better results.

Concerning Al- Youssifiyah power station, the two parties discussed the survey results which have been completed by TPE experts. Also they conversed how to construct the station with the capacity of (210×3) =630 MW. ABG and TPE addressed the issue of preparing a comprehensive offer to MoE that takes into account meeting the MoE requirements and the same time considers TPE advantages. Also, different issues such as the monthly reports, the outstanding payments and how to find a proper and fast solution for these issues.

Regarding Al-Hartha power station, TPE emphasized that they will send a number of their Engineeers and experts to visit the site of Al-Hartha on 24/08/2009 targeting to start working in the project. ABG underlined that they arranged all the required steps to TPE's delegation starting from issuing their visas until their accommodations and transportations and they will carry on their efforts to make the visit completely successful. Also, the meeting has discussed some related issues such as opening letter of credits and the guarantees, and both parties agreed to carry on the efforts to find a resolution for that as soon as possible.
