A delegation from both TPE - TechnopromExport, represented by Mr. Sergey N. Shilin (Director of R&M Department) and ABG - Al-Burhan Group represented by Mr Qais Al-Ani (Director of Strategic Planning & Engineering) have visited the location of Hartha Power Plant between the period of 24-27 August 2009.

The core of the visit was to survey the location where the rehabilitation of units 2 & 3 will take place, ABG representative have joined TPE during this survey and have coordinate between TPE team and Iraqi officials from PMT and Iraqi Ministry of Electricity to discuss number of issues concerning the implementation of this contract which has been financed by the World Bank.

The delegation have discussed with Iraqi officials, different financial and technicals issues. MOE confirmed that the settlement of living condition of TPE specialist security measures.

TPE have utilize this visit by letting 8 of their specialist engineers to survey different locations of the power plant and make necessary inventory for the equipments and machineries which they can use to complete the rehabilitation of these two units.

The delegation have handed over a new updated and revised schedule to construct the power plant to MOE to be revised and approved.

ABG delegation have facilitated all the important issues regarding this visit from getting the visa for the delegation to arrange the meeting with Iraqi officials in order to get the good result out from this visit which hopefully will lead to more visits in order to commence the implementation of the rehabilitation of the units.
