Al-Burhan Group (ABG) signed a contract in March 2009 with Iraqi Republic Railways (IRR) to supply 2,875,000 British made Nylon Liner Insulators for Pandrol (PR607a) Rail Fastenings.

The first batch, representing a number of 958,333 insulators has already been delivered in mid-December. The second consignment will follow in January, with the final one being delivered in February or March 2010.

Product Specification for PANDROL Brand HVN Insulator has been mentioned in the contract signed with IRR. This specification covers the manufacturing and testing requirement of HVN insulators in Pandrol UK factories in the United Kingdom.

The raw material will be a Pandrol approved grade of heat stabilised high viscosity nylon 66 as specified below and detailed on the purchase order.

The product has been tested for quality assurance, to insure that the insulators are clean and free from evidence of gassing or burning. Also, all markings should be clear as indicated on the appropriate Pandrol copyright drawing or as agreed by Pandrol. All conditioned samples are in accordance with the appropriate Pandrol copyright drawing.

Product certification: The insulator moulder will submit with each batch of insulators (or order if agreed) a certificate of conformity and associated test results confirming that the insulators supplied have met requirements of this specification and conform to the appropriate Pandrol copyright drawing.
