Al-Burhan Group have been awarded a contract since 2005 to supply 8 Ganger Trolleys (AGS-1) from Muromteplovoz JSC located in Murom, Russia. The order was on hold for some time since there was a delay in issuing the LC & setting the specifications for the engines.
Despite the financial delay there was another technical issue concerning the engines that Iraqi Republic Railways want in their new Ganger Trolleys.
The contract has been approved by selection of the 240 hp, air cooled Deutz engine, model F8L-513. The ganger trolleys are designed for carrying track workers, equipment & tools as well as loading & unloading of cargo, transportation of tracks and loose materials. The machine is capable of carrying a track rail of 18 meters length on both sides.
The air conditioned cabin is designed to drive the motor car in both directions as well as carry 14 persons including maintenance personnel. It is equipped with sufficient lighting for night work as well as traveling up to 250 meters in both directions.
The motor car AGS-1 is equipped with both a crane, which can be driven from its own cabin as well as a Cargo model.
Delivery of the machines is expected by the end of 2010.
