Al-Burhan Group (ABG) that represents giant steel-producer Thyssenkrupp has won a contract to supply the Iraqi Republic Railway with 30,77 tons of rail bar after an exhaustive tender process that opens Iraq’s huge transport sector to new horizons of development.
ABG, which has extensive activities in Iraq’s economic sector, will expand the existing tracks and upgrade the road network across the country. Thyssenkrupp will be responsible for supplying the Iraqi railway with 60EI rail bar, the latest European technological product in rail industry.
The contract attests the efforts exerted by ABG to build vital transport infrastructures and establish crucial railway network that can mobilise civil and commercial transport across Iraq cities. The contract is a bid to bring the country to the standards of international rules and expectation for quality railway operation.
ABG sets to continue its endeavours to renovate the Iraqi rails upgrade the existing lines and install high-tech equipment in order to develop the Iraqi industrial and commercial sectors.
