Al-Burhan Group (ABG) has signed a contract with Russian Rail manufacturer Kalugaputmash to supply Iraqi railway with extra spare parts for Electric Flash Butt Rail Welding Machines Models PRSM-4 & PRSM-5. The contract, which will be delivered in six months, reveals the IRR readiness to keep abreast of railway equipment technology.
The machinery were supplied by Russian Kalugaputmash in 2005 and 2006 are the latest high-tech machinery that weld rails for hundreds kilometres. The machines are able to carry out all operation (welding, cooling and cleaning of flush butt material).
The contract will help IRR to maintain its sophisticated machinery and continue its ambitious plan to expand the existed network and create new links across Iraq. The government of Iraq has great plans for a railway expansion programme so as to meet the growing needs of the population and national industrial sector.
By delivering these Mobile Flush Butt Welding Machines, ABG confirm its key role in boosting industrial business in Iraq and adds a new event to its distinguished history as a company supplying heavy machinery and equipment to the Iraqi Government and its ministries.
