Al-Burhan Group along with giant security provider G4S, have prepared their final offer in the bidding to provide aviation security for Baghdad International Airport that will be closed on 19 February 2012. The bid involves a holistic approach to provide security, technical information and training for Iraqi staff.
Al-Burhan Group and G4S have announced that their bid is outstanding given that offer complies with ICAO standards and Annex 17 of Chicago convention for aviation security. The offer aims at upgrading the Iraqi standards of performance and improving the skills of domestic staff in order to create attracting environment for major global airlines to resume their flights to Iraqi destinations.
Al-Burhan Group held meetings with appropriate CAA officials to demonstrate the safety and quality procedures for the airline. The Group announced that it will be the first Iraqi airline that adopts the IOSA standards for aircraft safety and quality assurance in Iraq. It is also the first Iraqi carrier that flies a state-of-the-art long-haul aircraft.
The bid confirms the leading position of Al-Burhan Group in Iraq’s aviation sector and certifies its drive to make the travel and business cargo market in Iraq prosperous.
