Al-Burhan Group (ABG) and French railway giant Railtech wrapped up a two-week training course in Raismes, France on April 21st 2012. The Iraqi 20-person delegation, including engineers, inspectors and technicians, received specialised coaching in aluminothermic welding.
The course, conducted by experienced trainers, provided theoretical information and practical training on aluminothermic welding and the ways to maintain the railways network. The program also involves high quality safety, compliance and technical training along with field trips to plants and testing centres.
The training course is integral to the Iraqi Republic Railways' workers given that it provides them a good understanding of the equipment imported from Railtech, enhances the IRR workers skills, and keeps them updated with the latest developments in the railway industry.
The training programme underscores ABG's commitment to building modern and well-connected railway networks across Iraqi cities by using equipment and techniques brought in by globally renowned companies such as Railtech.
