Al-Burhan Group (ABG) has won a contract to supply the Iraqi Republic Railway (IRR) with 100,000 concrete sleepers using E-Clip system manufactured by UK-based company Pandrol. The delivery of the fastening system will enable Iraq to expand its railway network and meet the increasing demands of a burgeoning economy.

An eight-member team along with ABG representatives conducted the inspection and testing programs for the products before shipping to Iraq. The inspection programme includes product testing and a work tour of Pandrol's railway facilities in Britain.

The contract attests to ABG's continued delivery of sophisticated products to Iraq, bringing the nation up to the standard of international rules and expectations for quality railway operations.
