Al-Burhan Group (ABG) and German steel-producing giant Thyssenkrupp have concluded the second round of inspection and training for the Iraqi Republic Railways (IRR). The process is part of a contract to supply the IRR with 30,000 tons of rail bars that will open Iraq’s huge transport sector to new horizons of development.
The Iraqi inspection delegation visited TSTG's steel facility in Duisburg, which is one of few plants in the world that produces long rails. The team also conducted a number of tests including: laboratory tests, profile dimension, visual surface inspection, cutting, marking and packaging. The team is set to visit the product storage at the shipping port in order to draft a final report for the inspection process.
The visit confirms ABG pledges to provide quality products for the Iraqi transport network and meet the requirement of both national and international standards for railways. Furthermore, quality assurance is a component of ABG's strategy for the continued improvement of services as a crucial contributor in the Iraqi industry./p>
