Renowned Russian electricity company Technopromexport (TPE), Al-Burhan Group partner, visited Baghdad recently to assess a number of its electricity plants and check how to expand its investment in Iraq’s electricity and power sectors. The visit has marked a new shift in TPE investment policies in Iraq and sends a direct message that Iraq has become a new ground for Russian investment.
The TPE delegation met with a number of Iraqi officials in a bid to get a better understanding about the country's needs and set a new agenda for its investment works. Al-Burhan Group has cooperated with TPE on the Yousifiyah Electricity Plant, south-west of Baghdad, and is currently working with the Russian power giant to craft a plant for Iraq’s vital electricity projects.
The TPE delegation visited Al-Burhan Centre and inspected its facilities in order to have a clear view about the accommodation available for foreign companies in Iraq. The logistics and mobility of the Russian delegation to and from Baghdad International Airport were provided by Al-Burhan Group's branch in Baghdad..
ABG maintains its strategic partnership with TPE which undertakes the rehabilitation of Yousifiyah Electricity Plant. The expansion of TPE's investment projects in Iraq will add another achievement to the eventful record of Al-Burhan Group.
